How to Gift Faith Map Plus: What Happens After You Buy

You have found something that helps you read and pray each day, and now you are wondering how to pass it on. Can you give Faith Map Plus to someone else, even if they have their own account, their own phone, and their own faith track?

Yes, and the process is straightforward. You buy the gift, you receive a code, and you share that code with the person yourself. This guide walks through each part in order, including what the recipient will need to do and what a year of Plus includes.

What you are buying when you gift Plus

A gift of Faith Map Plus is a single purchase of twelve months of Plus for one other person. The price is $59.99, paid once at the time you buy the gift.

You are not buying a second subscription for your own account, and you are not sharing your login. Each person uses their own account, with their own reading, lessons, and prayer history kept separate.

What you receive after purchase is a gift code. That code is the gift. Once the recipient enters it in their own account, their account gains Plus for twelve months.

It helps to know what is free already. Reading scripture and working through lessons in Faith Map are free. Listening to the prayer library is free as well. A gift of Plus adds the listening and offline features described below, on top of that free core.

How gifting works, step by step

1. Buy the gift

You can buy a Faith Map Plus gift from the Plus page in the app. Gifting works whether or not you are a member yourself. You do not need an active Plus membership of your own in order to give one to someone else.

At checkout, you pay the $59.99 for the twelve-month gift. Keep the confirmation you receive, because it will contain the code you need for the next step.

2. Share the code yourself

Faith Map sends no email on your behalf. That point is worth stating plainly, because many gift services send an automatic message and this one does not.

You share the code in the way that fits the occasion. You might write it inside a card, include it in a message, or read it aloud on a call. Send it privately rather than posting it in a public place, as you would with any other gift code.

If you are not ready to give it straight away, that is fine. The code is yours to give when you are ready. You might buy ahead of a birthday, a holiday, a baptism or confirmation, a bar or bat mitzvah, or the start of a new year of practice, and hold the code until the day itself.

3. The recipient redeems the code

The recipient will need a Faith Map account of their own. If they do not have one yet, they can create one first and choose their faith track as part of getting started.

Once they are signed in, they redeem the code in their own account, in the Profile area where gift and redeem options live in the app. They enter the code there, and Plus is applied to their account. You do not need to do anything else at that point.

Because redemption happens inside their account, the year of Plus belongs to them. It follows their account if they change phones, and it does not depend on your account staying active.

What the recipient gets for the year

A redeemed gift gives the recipient the whole of Plus, not a reduced version of it. There is no separate gift tier.

Listening across every track

Chapter narration listening is a Plus feature. With Plus, the recipient can listen to chapter audio narration on all tracks in the app, rather than only reading on screen. For many people, that changes when practice can happen: on a walk, while cooking, or in a quiet part of the day when reading is not practical.

Guided prayer audio is also included. Prayer-library listening itself stays free, and Plus adds guided prayer audio alongside it, so the recipient has both options.

Offline narration

Plus also includes offline narration. The recipient can save narration to listen to without a connection, which can help during travel, on a commute without reliable signal, or in a place where they prefer to keep their phone offline for a time of prayer or study.

The free core stays free

The recipient could already read scripture for free, follow lessons for free, and listen to the prayer library for free. Plus sits on top of that. If the gift year ends and they choose not to continue, the free reading and lessons do not go away.

Who a gift of Plus is for

You are not giving an object. You are giving a year of easier listening and one less friction in a daily practice someone already values or is beginning to build.

For a parent

A parent who reads with their children, prays early, or listens while driving may find audio fits their day more naturally than screen reading alone. Because accounts are separate, a grown child can give Plus to a parent without sharing passwords, and the parent keeps control of their own account.

For someone new to a tradition

Faith Map covers ten traditions, and each track is built for the people who practice that faith. Someone new often begins with free reading and lessons. A gift of Plus supports that beginning by adding listening, so a chapter or prayer can be heard as well as read while the practice takes shape.

For someone returning to practice

Other recipients may have stepped away for a season and now be returning. For them, a gift is about making the return easier: narration on a morning walk, guided prayer audio in the evening, and offline access for a quiet hour.

In each case, the gift works well when it is offered, not imposed: here is a code, use it when you like, and the practice remains entirely yours.

A few practical points before you buy

First, double-check that you are buying a gift, rather than starting Plus on your own account by mistake. The gift purchase produces a code for someone else.

Second, keep your copy of the code somewhere safe until you have shared it and the recipient has confirmed they redeemed it. If a code is lost before redemption, you will want your purchase confirmation to hand.

Finally, a short note is enough when you give it: what the code is, that it gives a year of Plus, and where in Profile to redeem it.

Giving works this way by design: one purchase, one code, shared by you, and redeemed by the recipient in an account that is fully their own. Your faith is beautiful, and so is passing on something that has helped you, in a form the other person can use in their own time.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be a Faith Map Plus member to give a gift?

No. Gifting works whether or not you are a member yourself. You buy the twelve-month gift for $59.99, receive a gift code, and share that code with the recipient, who redeems it in their own account.

Does Faith Map email the gift to the recipient for me?

No. Faith Map sends no email on your behalf. You share the code yourself, for example in a private message or written inside a card, and the recipient enters it in the Profile redeem area of their own account.

What does the recipient actually get with a gift of Plus?

The recipient gets a year of the whole Plus membership for their own account, including chapter narration listening on all tracks, guided prayer audio, and offline narration. Scripture reading, lessons, and prayer-library listening were already free and remain free.

Does the recipient need their own Faith Map account?
